Suikerbossie Hill in Hout Bay does not do still air, and on this particular day the wind of change made its presence known early. The ceremony went ahead outside as planned, then we moved everyone across to the sheltered side of the venue for pre-drinks while the wind settled, before bringing the celebration indoors for the reception. Maira and Carl had already planned almost everything themselves by the time we came on board, so our job was simple. Make sure everything came together exactly as they had pictured it.
Baby's breath ran through every arrangement, exactly as Maira had pictured from the very beginning. Simple and elegant was the brief, and it stayed that way right through to the reception. A 360 camera and a photobooth turned out to be the unexpected stars of the evening, with more photobooth moments captured than we have seen at any wedding before or since. When our team thinks back, the mountain and the forest stay with us, and of course, remembering the climb it took to get those shots.

The mood

We just wanted to thank you so so much. We called on you with very short notice and you plugged in on our special day as though you were there from the start and even during the month of March (wedding month). We especially grateful for the last minute requests.
Maira & Carl

Maira and Carl brought us in to coordinate a wedding they had already built from the ground up, and trusting us with something that personal is not a small thing. Thank you for that confidence, especially on such short notice. And to every supplier who plugged in just as quickly and helped pull together a day on Suikerbossie Hill that the wind could not touch, thank you.
