About Lune Events
Lune Events is a Cape Town wedding planning and design studio that specialises in destination weddings. Our couples come from the USA, the UK, Germany, and further afield. Most arrive with a clear vision and a wedding to plan from the other side of the world. We are their eyes, ears, and advocate on the ground, handling venue visits, supplier meetings, tastings, contract reviews, and every decision that needs someone physically present in Cape Town. That is what we are here for.
Six years and over 500 weddings have gone into mastering the craft of destination wedding coordination in Cape Town. Our supplier network spans more than 200 carefully vetted professionals across the Cape Winelands and beyond. We know the venues, we know which suppliers show up and which ones need chasing, and we know what tends to go wrong at a Saturday wedding in Franschhoek. More importantly, we know how to make sure it does not.
The name came from an unexpected place. When Kim's sister completed her graduate fashion collection, she named it Lune, after the moon. The concept stayed with Kim: the moon creates no light of its own. It only reflects. We are, in the most literal professional sense, exactly that. Our job is to take two people and everything that formed them, and reflect all of it back into a room full of everyone who loves them. The personalities, the story, the small details only their closest people would catch. A wedding should feel completely like the people getting married in it. That is what we build toward every single time.
How we plan your wedding
Our couples are never expected to simply take our word for things. Every venue visit, supplier meeting, tasting, and walkthrough gets documented and shared. Photos, videos, honest recommendations, and our genuine opinion, not just a summary of what was discussed. We work through each supplier category one at a time rather than presenting a wall of decisions at once, and we adapt to how involved each couple wants to be. The planning process stays informed and manageable throughout.
What we are working toward in every wedding is one specific moment. It is when our couple looks around on the day and cannot quite believe it is actually happening. Not just executed well and running on time, but genuinely, emotionally, completely theirs. That is the version of the day we plan for. Everything else is in service of that.

I am your wedding wing woman. The one who gets genuinely excited about your venue shortlist, remembers that you said no to the colour beige in month one, and will probably cry at your ceremony before you do.
Weddings never get old for me, not even a little. Watching a couple see their reception for the first time, knowing every detail was cared for. That is what I show up for. When I am not neck deep in floor plans and florals, you will find me on a farm refusing to come home, or at the beach with Skye, who is already waiting for his introduction below.

Woof-woof! I am a border collie and the heartbeat of this operation. My responsibilities include appearing in online meetings without warning, making sure my mom shines, and reminding her that no timeline is more important than a walk on the beach (sorry, not sorry).
I take ball fetching very seriously and personal space not at all. Most couples know me well before the wedding day. I consider this one of my greatest professional achievements.
